Eagles Nest exists to reach our city with the love of Christ

Eagles Nest Worship Center is a church birthed out of a God-given vision to Bishop James K. Hart. This vision came to reality through a church plant in Northwest Omaha in October of 1992 with the help of Dr. Maurice J. Hart and Pathway of Light Cathedral. Eagles Nest first opened its doors in a single bay within a small shopping mall at 90th & Maple. With its humble beginnings, God began to move and soon the church had to begin having multiple services. In March of 2002, Eagles Nest purchased a 30,000 square foot building at 5775 Sorensen Parkway and completely renovated it. This is the current home of Eagles Nest. By God’s grace and design, Eagles Nest remains one of the most culturally diverse churches in the city of Omaha. Our body of believers continues to grow both numerically and spiritually all while impacting Omaha for the glory of God.

Bishop James Hart, alongside his wife Dr. Elictia Hart, cross racial boundaries and prejudices, to lead a diverse, multi-cultural congregation. Bishop Hart is known as a man of integrity, compassion, and faithfulness locally and around the world. This powerful, anointed, and fiery preacher has an assignment from God to empower people and challenge them to “live their life full and finish strong.”

For nearly 30 years, he‘s boldly delivered relevant, life-changing messages of God’s Refuge, Restoration, and Celebration. As a youth, he and his family spent part of his childhood on the mission field in Brazil, South America. This laid a foundation for missions in his life. Today missions are a large part of who Eagle’s Nest is.
Bishop Hart continues to travel the world encouraging people to hold onto the only source of unchanging truth in this ever-changing world!

Dr. Elictia Hart is known for her compassion, faithfulness, and willingness to go the extra mile to share the love of Christ. She is a preacher, teacher, and prayer warrior called to encourage the body of Christ. With a sincere heart for people and a desire to see the perfect will of God done in people’s lives, she doesn’t take lightly the calling and assignment she has been given.
The Lord has laid out a fascinating path for Dr. Elictia Hart. For nearly 20 years, the Seattle native has traveled the globe as a journalist. She has worked for “Entertainment Tonight” in Los Angeles and CNBC Hong Kong. Her passion for sports led her to ESPN in Singapore — covering the NFL and NBA. Eventually, she returned to the U.S. to report on West Coast teams for the Fox Sports Network. After years as a sports journalist, she shifted her focus to news — most recently the morning anchor for the ABC affiliate here in Omaha. God has now called her to report the Good News.
Dr. Elictia Hart will have you laughing and crying at the same time as she ministers to your “right now” need.
Bishop James and Dr. Elictia Hart are the parents of twins: Micah and Jemma.

For where two or three gather in my name, there am I with them. Matthew 18:20
